HELLO, WELCOME TO SOLAR ENERGY LIGHTING!



Before I launched Solar Energy Lighting, my brother and I ran a textile business for years. In 2023 a private equity firm came knocking. We talked it over, weighed everything, and sold. The new owners weren't for me, so I walked away and started fresh.

These days I live on a 30-acre farm. Long before I had any thoughts of starting an e-commerce business, I started picking up solar lights to cut down on energy bills and do a little good for the planet. I was hooked the first time I screwed one into a tree and watched the whole yard light up, no electrician needed.

I shopped everywhere: Amazon, big-box stores, random websites. Ended up with about 30 lights scattered around the farm. Cheap ones, fancy ones, everything in between. Turns out I became a bit of a solar light nerd.

I've tested the best and the worst. Dim junk that dies after a month, overpriced "premium" stuff that's no brighter than a flashlight. That's why I'm picky about what we carry.

Pretty much everything in this space comes from Asia, so we built direct relationships with three solid manufacturers in China. We rent our own warehouse space over there too, which means we control shipping, cut out the middlemen, and keep prices fair. Every light we sell is stocked in our warehouse before it ships.

Bottom line: I started this to give people decent, affordable lights that brighten their outdoor spaces, cut power costs, and lighten the load on the planet.

We're based in North Carolina with five people on the team, including my wife who's right there with me. Three kids, three dogs, and big plans to keep growing.
